Dorothy Bennett
Dorothy Fogle Bennett, 92, of Warren, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House of Warren, following a brief illness. Dorothy was born November 30, 1924, in Minerva, TX, the daughter of the late Carl and the late Lillian (Smith) Fogle.
She grew up in Kinzua, PA and graduated High School there. She then attended Hoff’s Business School in Warren. Dorothy was employed as a bookkeeper at Sherwood Refinery in Warren.
In 1946, she married Charles Roy Bennett, at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church. Early in their marriage, they moved to different cities, following her husband’s years in the Air Force. They moved to Hilton, NY, in the 1960s where they remained until retirement, when they returned to the Warren area.
Dorothy enjoyed travelling and was an avid reader. She was also a dog lover and missed her Akita, Cody, upon his passing.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Roy; a daughter Ann Hendershot and her husband Larry of Oviedo, FL; and her beloved grandson, Chad Deneve, of Erie, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, at the Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 444 Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren, PA with The Rev. Timothy Dyer officiating.
