Judith Duncan
Judith Marie Rafalski Duncan, 66, of Youngsville, PA passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
She was born on September 6, 1950, in Warren, PA, a daughter to the late Peter K and Jessie Swanson Rafalski. Judy was raised on the family dairy farm and began school attending the oneroom schoolhouse located on Davey Hill and then in Tidioute, PA. After she and the family moved to Pittsfield, PA, she attended Youngsville High School. She had been a captain of the Cheerleading squad at YHS and May Queen. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Youngsville High School.
Prior to her declining health, she was employed by Vinson & Elkins Law Firm in Houston, Texas and assisted in setting up their law firm’s office in London, England. She later became a successful real estate agent while living in Texas and Tennessee.
Throughout her lifetime, she had traveled and resided in Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. In recent years, she returned to Youngsville to make her home with a special cousin, Charles (Jack) Schell.
Judy is survived by her sister, Janice Rafalski Ryan (Bill), Lake City, FL; two brothers, James K. Rafalski, Knoxville, TN, and John P. Rafalski (David) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Jolene Bullard (Carl), Lake City, FL; Scott Rafalski, Youngsville,PA; Christine Knowles (Rodney) O’Brien, FL; Jason Rafalski (Sami), Warren PA;Craig Beasley (Nicki), Lake City, FL; Jodi Rafalski, Warren, PA and Tim Rafalski (Jenni) of Virginia Beach, VA. She also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
