Margaret Sutter

Margaret E. Sutter, 85, of Pottsville, PA and formerly of Warren, PA, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Pottsville. Born on August 22, 1931 in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Catherine Slater Eustice. On November 13, 1954 in Warren, PA, she married John G. “Jack” Sutter, who died on March 22, 2006.

Margaret was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School, and she was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church where she served as a CCD teacher, Parish Council member, Eucharistic Minister, and lector. She had worked at the former New Process Co., for Lee J. Borger MD, and at Duval Flooring. She moved to Pottsville in 2012.

Margaret is survived by 2 sons – John M. Sutter and his wife, Kim, of Schuylkill Haven, PA, and James “Toby” Sutter and his companion, Susan Daniels, of Springboro, OH, 6 Grandchildren, 3 Greatgrandchildren, and 3 nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, William, and a sister, Lillian Barner.

Friends may call at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA, on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9:30A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with a  Mass of Christian Burial following conducted by Fr. Glenn Whitman, resident of Sacred Heart Parish, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA. In lieu of flowers those wishing to place a memorial may do so through Holy Redeemer Church, Warren or St. Patrick’s Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA  17901.
