Carl Arnold

Carl E. Arnold, 86, a resident of the Cambridge Home in Warren, passed away there on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

He was born June 5, 1930 in North Apollo, PA, a son to the late Earl F. Arnold Sr. and Helen Luther Arnold. Carl was a 1948 graduate of Youngsville High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Paratrooper. He graduated from JCC in Business Management and worked at MRCTRW Corp as a supervisor. Carl was a member of the Masonic Stillwater Lodge #547, Zem Zem Shriners, Warren County Shriners, Scottish Rite, VFW, American Legion, Eagles Club and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, a hunter in his younger days and a golfer. He was proud to have golfed (18 holes) with a score of 74 on his 74th birthday and a holeinone. He enjoyed riding his trike to downtown Warren for lunch every day at the Plaza and for going out to dinner with his brother and sisterinlaw. He passed away in his recliner on a beautiful fall day.

Carl is survived by 2 daughters, Valerie (John) Gano and Cheryl (Darcy) Durlin; a son, Jeffrey (Jamie) Arnold; a brother, Earl (Mae) Arnold Jr.; 10 grandchildren, Justin (Vanessa) Taydus, Kellen Taydus, Shane (Thaddeus) DurlinMeeks, Travis (Alisha) Durlin, Jared (Ashley) Durlin, Alicia Durlin, Brandon (Jessica) Arnold, Alex (Vanessa) Arnold, Nicole Arnold and Sara Arnold; 2 Stepgrandchildren, Scott and Zacharieh Guessford; 6 greatgrandchildren, Kaylee, Sidney and Mitchell Arnold, Jaylin and Jaysen Arnold and Dwayne Durlin and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Luella Grady and Wanda McNitt; a brother, Keith Arnold and a soninlaw, Mark Taydus.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church at 1:00pm with the Rev. Kathy Thompson, pastor, officiating. Members of the Stillwater Lodge will conduct their masonic ritual at 12:45 pm at the church.  Members of the American Legion Honor Guard will provide full military honors.
