Robert Eccles

Robert was a 1963 graduate of Falconer High School, he then enlisted in the US Army and served two tours during the Vietnam War. He remained in the Reserves for an additional twenty two years thereafter. He was employed as a security guard for the Keywell Corporation in Frewsburg, NY, from which he retired. Robert was an avid key and lock collector, Steelers Fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and a life member of the VVA-Chapter 865 Jamestown, NY.

He is survived by his stepmother, Beatrice Eccles; four sisters, Lanna Baran, and husband, Vincent, of Sugar Grove, PA, Sandra Bush, and husband, Steven Bush, Sr., of Jamestown, NY, Diana Ordines, and husband, Randy, also of Jamestown, NY and Tina Jones, and fiance, Pete Peterson, of Falconer, NY; one brother, Brian Eccles, and wife, Laura, of Millstone, NJ; several nieces and nephews, greatnieces and nephews and greatgreat nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death on April 26, 2005, by his wife, Ann Eccles, whom he married July 8, 1966, in Ft. Knox, KY; and by one nephew, Vincent Baran, II.

Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Friday, April 24, from 5 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to the funeral service to be held there on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Billy Hughes, pastor, Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365 or the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701.
