He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and served with the U.S. Air Force where he received training in law enforcement.

He was employed with the City of Warren Police Department as a patrolman for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed shrimping. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play baseball.

He was a superb cribbage player.

He is survived by his wife, Elli Chmielewske Jordan, 5 Children Daniel and Jacqueline Jordan both of Kane, PA., Patrick Jordan and wife, Lisa of Warren, PA., Ronald Jordan of Kane, PA., Donald Jordan of Townville, PA., 4 Stepchildren James Mechling and wife, Lisa of Tidioute, PA., Daniel Mechling and wife, Cheryl of Warren, PA., Jonathan Mechling of Scandia, PA., Desiree Mechling of Russell, PA. 3 Brothers Donald Jordan and wife, Barbara of Green Cove Springs, FL. Tim Jordan and wife, Linda of Tiona, PA., Thomas Jordan of Warren, PA, 1 Sister Brenda Durnell of Russell, PA., 19 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Munch Onufer and stepfather, Michael Onufer, 1 Brother Harry Willard.

Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. by Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating. Full military honors will be conducted at Limestone Cemetery, Tidioute, PA. by members of John Gertsch Vietnam Memorial Post members.
