A funeral service for Ronald Bumbarger, who died on Friday, September 5, was held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, September 10. Rev. Jon Swart, parish associate, officiated.

Ronald J. Bumbarger, 65, of Warren, died unex-pectedly Friday, September 5, 2014, at Eastern Niagara Hospital of Newfane, NY, while on a fishing trip. Ron was born November 22, 1948, in Morrisdale, PA, the son of the late Ben-jamin and Mildred Quick Bumbarger.

Ron was a lifelong Truck Driver, earning many safety awards over the years. Most recently, he drove for the F.R. Bellotti Trucking Company in Leeper, PA. One of his many hobbies was racing; he built and worked on a Sportsman Car that he raced at Stateline Speed-way for five years. He was a member of the Pine Grove Sportsman Club, the Busti Sportsman Club, and the Ridgway Long Range Rifle Club. He also enjoyed country music, hunting, fishing and boating.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ristau Bum-barger, whom he married on August 31, 1968, at the First United Methodist Church; one daughter, Brenda Schwarz, and hus-band, Ethan, of Slippery Rock, PA; one son, Gregory Bumbarger, of Concord, NC; one sister, Donna Bumbarger, of Warren, PA; and three grandchildren, Trevor Bumbarger, Clark Schwarz and Amelia Schwarz.

Friends will be received at the Peterson – Blick Fun-eral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Tuesday, September 9, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held there on Wednesday, September 10, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jon Swart, parish associate, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Paws Along The River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365 or any Autism Char-ity.
