DOROTHY EBEL

Dorothy was born Sunday, May 27, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Margaret Damp Mac Muldrow. Mrs. Ebel was employed for a time at GTE Sylvania and then at the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Blueberry Golf League, and the Cable Hollow Golf League. Dorothy was also a local Girl Scout Troop Leader for several years. She and her late husband were longtime members of the North Warren Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Lyle, and her husband Terry, Jamestown, NY, and Edie Whipple, Pittsburgh, Pa., a sister, Margaret Mc Cutchen, Pittsburgh, Pa; four Grandchildren, Megan Lyle, Astoria, NY, Christopher Lyle, and his wife Shannon, Springfield, MO, David Whipple, Lexington, KY, and Matthew Whipple, and his wife Mallary, Buffalo, NY.; one great granddaughter, David’s daughter, Ada Whipple; one niece and several nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death on February 8, 2012, by her husband Richard H. “Dick” Ebel, whom she married on December 22, 1950 in Burgettstown, Pa.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
