Due to the overwhelming response and its success, Gaughn’s Drug Store will host another community-wide flu vaccine clinic at Warren General Hospital on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Conference Room A.

Several patrons have not only attended the first clinic, but Gaughn's offers in-store walk-ins and appointments as usual. This special clinic provides convenience to the community for those wishing to receive the flu shot.

Despite the beautiful fall weather, Gaughn's Drug Store manager Kelly Newton mentioned that the ER has reported some cases of the flu. She noted the importance of getting the shot in order to benefit others, protecting the elderly population.

According to the CDC, all injectable flu shots for the 2026-27 flu season are not live vaccines, meaning that it is made using inactivated viruses or recombinant proteins, rather than a weakened version of the actual virus.

Parking along the riverside lot of WGH, patients should access entrance 3 and follow signs to Conference Room A to receive the vaccine with no appointment necessary. Newton encourages that it is never too late to get the flu shot.

Everyone and all insurances are accepted.
