1 min read

The Warren Public Library will host an afternoon tea and book discussion on Nov. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Jefferson Room, inviting readers ages 10 and up to enjoy tea, sweets and conversation centered on a literary classic.

The event will feature a discussion of "Anne of Green Gables" by L.M. Montgomery, along with a variety of teas and sweet treats..

"We selected 'Anne of Green Gables' because it's a recommended title for multiple generations to read and discuss together," said Jenn Knisley, Reference and Adult Services Librarian.

The book is in the public domain, making free ebook editions readily available online. Readers can also access ebook and audiobook copies through the POWER Library's OverDrive collection.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in fancy attire or period costumes to add to the occasion, though costumes and formal clothing are entirely optional.

"Whether you come with a friend, family member, neighbor, mentor or on your own, you are welcome to join us," Knisley said.

Space is limited for the event and registration is required. Online registration is available at www.warrenlibrary.org. Those interested can also call library staff at (814) 723-4650 for assistance registering.
