CASA to host first Voices for Children Night

By Delaney Chase 2 min read

CASA of Warren and Forest Counties will host its first Voices for Children Night on Oct. 14 at Bent Run Brewing Co. from 6 to 9 p.m., inviting members of the community to come together in support of children and families in the local child welfare system.

The event will recognize the work and dedication of CASA volunteers and members of the organization's advisory committee, who play an important role in advocating for children involved in the court system.

Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from former foster youth and families as they share personal experiences. The event will also feature refreshments and live music, providing an opportunity for guests to connect with others in the community while learning more about CASA and its mission.

Children are welcome to attend the event as well. Special activities will be available throughout the evening to help make the event enjoyable for families.

In addition to celebrating current volunteers and committee members, CASA representatives also said the event is a chance for anyone interested in becoming involved with the organization to learn more about the program. Guests will have the opportunity to hear about CASA's impact, ask questions and meet volunteers and advisory committee members.

CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, relies on dedicated community members to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in court proceedings.

Organizers hope the Voices for Children Night will help raise awareness about CASA's work and encourage more members of the community to become involved in supporting children and families. They also hope to make the event an annual tradition, giving the organization and community an opportunity to come together each year to recognize the continued efforts of CASA volunteers and advocates.

General admission tickets are $10. VIP tickets are available for $20 and include food and a drink.

Those interested in attending can scan the QR code or visit the CASA of Warren of Warren and Forest Counties Facebook page for a link to purchase tickets.
