By DELANEY CHASE 2 min read

Runners from across the region will gather Saturday for the 2026 Across the Dam Half-Marathon, a scenic 13.1-mile race beginning at Kinzua Beach and ending at the Warren County YMCA.

Sponsored by United Refining Company/Kwik Fill and the Warren YMCA, the race will begin at 9 a.m. at Kinzua Beach along Route 59 at the Allegheny Reservoir.

The course takes runners through the Allegheny National Forest, across Kinzua Dam and through the hills leading into the city of Warren. After crossing the dam, runners will travel along Hemlock Avenue before continuing into Warren on Pennsylvania Avenue, Irvine Street, Lexington Avenue and Carver Street. The race will finish behind War Memorial Field near the Warren YMCA.

Organizers describe the event as one of the most scenic races in Northwest Pennsylvania.

Registration is $50 for both YMCA members and non-members. Online registration will remain open through today, while race-day registration will be available from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the Kinzua Beach starting area.

Race packets can be picked up at the Warren YMCA on Friday, Oct. 9, or at the starting area Saturday morning.

Runners are encouraged to arrange transportation to the Kinzua Beach starting line and are asked not to leave vehicles at the start.

Awards will be presented to the first male and female runners to reach Kinzua Dam, the first male and female finishers and the top three finishers in each male and female age division: 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older.

Five water stations will be positioned along the course approximately every 2 miles, with the third station offering Gatorade. The race has a three-hour finishing limit.

The event is open to everyone. Registration and additional race information are available through the Warren YMCA.
