The Zonta Club of Warren County is launching an initiative to create a centralized directory connecting Warren County residents with local nonprofit organizations and volunteer opportunities.

The Warren County Volunteer Directory will provide community members with a single resource to learn about local nonprofits, the services they provide and ways to get involved.

"We have a great community here in Warren County," said Colleen Sloan, president of the Zonta Club of Warren in a news release. "This Warren County Volunteer Directory will be a resource for our citizens to find those opportunities."

The directory is intended to strengthen collaboration among local organizations while making it easier for residents to find meaningful ways to volunteer.

"Our goal is to build a single, accessible resource that bridges the gap between passionate community members and the local organizations that rely on volunteer support," said Savannah Casey, a member of the Zonta Club of Warren County.

Participation in the directory is free for nonprofit organizations in Warren County. Participating organizations will be asked to provide basic contact information, a mission statement, a description of their community services, information about volunteer opportunities and an organizational logo.

The completed directory will be distributed in physical form to participating organizations. A digital version will also be made available through the Zonta Club of Warren website, beginning in 2027.

Nonprofit organizations interested in participating must submit their completed application and logo by Oct. 30, 2026. Materials should be emailed to Savannah Casey at savlcasey96@yahoo.com.

Organizations can request an application form by contacting Casey at the same email address. Each participating organization will receive a proof of its directory listing for review and approval before the directory goes to print.

The initiative builds on the Zonta Club of Warren County's longstanding commitment to community service and collaboration. The club supports local projects through hands-on service and stewardship, including ongoing care of the Healing Garden near Crescent Park and Warren General Hospital.

Zonta members regularly participate in workdays and cleanups at the garden, which provides a peaceful space for patients, visitors and residents. The club also partners with other local nonprofit organizations to use the space for community awareness efforts, including the Red Sand Project with the Warren County Children's Advocacy Center.

"By pooling our strengths and fostering true community cooperation, we live out Zonta’s vision of creating a stronger, safer and more connected environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive," Sloan said.

The Zonta Club of Warren County is part of Zonta International, an organization focused on advancing the status of women and girls. Locally and globally, Zonta works to address issues including domestic and gender-based violence, human trafficking and poverty through service and education.

With the new volunteer directory, the club hopes to build on that mission by helping Warren County residents connect with organizations that need their time, skills and support.
