Women only take aim at Kalbfus Rod & Gun Club

A shooting event just for women was held at the Kalbfus Rod and Gun Club in Clarendon. After a safety lecture the women shot trap, as well as pistol and rifle target shooting. The group enjoyed lunch between shotgun shooting and the other disciplines.
As David Tenney, one of the instructors for the day noted, "This is an experiment, to see if a group of women could come out and shoot, and have fun."
All the participants would agree, it was a fun day. Tenney's wife Beth is also an NRA Certified Pistol and Rifle instructor. She and other club members and coaches helped with the event. Laura McDunn and Barb McCullough provided lunch for the participants. Due to the success of the event, another event for women only is planned for next spring.
The Kalbfus Rod & Gun Club is located at 2178 Chapman Dam Road.
