John and Nathan Brown, sons of Henry and Marsha Brown, will bid farewell to the Tidioute community on Sept. 28 as they deploy with Gulf Company attached to the 110th Infantry Battalion of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Sgt. Johnathan Brown and Sgt. Nathan Brown have served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for 18 years. They will deploy for the first time in their careers for approximately one year during this mission.
Their cousin, Maj. Benjamin Brown, will be deploying with them as a commanding officer.
A hometown send-off event for John and Nathan will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Elzie E. Lynch American Legion Post 0334, located at 16424 Route 62.
This event is open to the public; you do not need to be a member of the Legion to join the send-off event.
Light food and water will be provided.
