The seventh annual Band Aid of Warren County, PA will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at Pellegrino's Creekside, 449 Conewango Ave., Warren, from noon until 7 p.m.
The Community Movement of Warren County, PA to Help End Cancer As We Know It returns to celebrate survivors and caregivers, in addition to remembering those lost to the disease. The community is invited to join in on a day of fundraising to benefit the American Cancer Society's efforts. ROCKtoberfest will be filled with live music, vendors, food, beverages, activities, families and friends and the Path of Hope.
New this year will be the ROCKtoberfest theme as Band Aid continues to fill in the gap created when Warren County, PA lost its Relay For Life as the community movement event for the American Cancer Society a few years ago. Kallie Williams Music, Fred Leopard, Stonehenge, Backwater Blues, Dark Rhythm, The Hallow Society, Cheap Thrill and Volpe Brothers bands are scheduled to appear on the Cathedral of Rock stage with Nigel Metal Productions as master of ceremonies and Zack Rocker Music providing production. "Band Aid is a volunteer-led movement that hopes to unite the Warren County, PA communities to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and raise funds to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families," said Deb Yoakum. "Thanks to that shared passion of Pellegrino’s, our bands and volunteers, we are working to help the American Cancer Society advance its mission through advocacy, research and patient support in an effort to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer."
