The North Warren Fire Department is asking area residents to answer the call to help save lives by donating blood during a community blood drive on Friday — the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on America.
The blood drive will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at North Warren Fire Department, 12 S. State St., Warren, in the parking lot, in partnership with Community Blood Bank.
As first responders, members of the North Warren Fire Department understand the importance of having lifesaving resources available during emergencies. Blood is no different. Patients in local hospitals rely on generous community blood donors every day, whether they are being treated following an accident or emergency, undergoing surgery or cancer treatment, or facing another medical condition requiring blood products.
"Firefighters and first responders are accustomed to answering the call when our neighbors need help," said Bonnie Reynolds, Primary Blood Drive Chairperson. "This blood drive is another opportunity for our community to come together and help someone in need. We encourage our friends, neighbors, families, and businesses to answer the call and give blood."

Every blood donation has the potential to help a patient in our region. Residents are encouraged to share the blood drive information with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors and help North Warren Fire Department fill the appointment schedule.
