YMCA gears for Livestrong Trash & Treasure Sale

Twice a year, the Warren County YMCA holds fundraising sales to support the Livestrong program. Since 2017 the Trash & Treasure Sale has taken place in the late summer.

The Warren County YMCA is looking for the community's help to make their annual fundraiser a success with the return of the annual Livestrong Trash & Treasure Sale from Sept. 2 to 4.

Donations of clean, gently used household items and clothing, supports the Livestrong at the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program, helping local cancer survivors regain strength, confidence, and community.

“LIVESTRONG at the Y” is a free, 12-week small group program tailored to serve adult cancer survivors, before, during and after treatment by specially trained Y staff. Committed to supporting each individual to safely achieve his or her wellness goals, the program also nurtures emotional healing and fosters important social connections.

Collection of donations will be accepted beginning on Monday through Saturday, Aug. 29. Hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.

Items that cannot be accepted include appliances. large pieces of exercise equipment, and electronics (TVs, computers, etc.).

Sale dates are Wednesday and Thursday Sept. 2 and 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday Special: Fill a bag for $1 or a box for $5 (bag/box fee is paid upon entry).

Payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, or an ACH account on file in the YMCA's DAXKO system.
