The Warren County Commissioners are scheduled to meet Wednesday with an agenda that includes service agreements, funding requests, property tax appeal settlements and a proclamation commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks
The proclamation recognizes Sept. 11 as a day of remembrance and commemoration and notes that 2,977 people were killed in the attacks, including those aboard four planes, at the World Trade Center and at the Pentagon. It also honors Warren County firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, fire-police and other public servants who respond to emergencies and serve the community.
Among the new business items is renewal of the county’s Landex agreement for 2027. Commissioners will also consider a software support agreement with Optical Storage Solutions Inc. The proposed agreement would run from Sept. 1, 2026, through Aug. 31, 2027.
Commissioners are also scheduled to consider a $500 funding request for the Allegheny River Clean-Up project through Warren County Environmental Initiatives funding.
According to the application, the Allegheny River and Reservoir Clean-Up has involved nearly 5,000 volunteers since 2005. Volunteers have contributed more than 40,000 hours and removed nearly 900 cubic yards of trash from the watershed, including tires, appliances and other debris.
The project seeks to continue removing trash and debris from the Allegheny River and its tributaries. The application identifies the river as an important recreational, ecological and economic resource for Warren County.
Another item involves an amended agreement with Family Services of Warren County for opioid outreach and prevention services at the Warren County Recovery Center and throughout the community.
Commissioners will also consider the 2026-27 Medical Assistance Transportation Program agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. The agreement outlines Warren County’s responsibilities for providing non-emergency medical transportation to eligible Medical Assistance recipients and requires compliance with state and federal program requirements.
The agenda also includes a professional services agreement with The EADS Group Inc. Under the proposal, an engineer could attend regularly scheduled monthly commissioner meetings upon request and provide technical assistance.
Commissioners are further scheduled to consider settlement offers involving countywide property reassessment appeals.
