A Jamestown, N.Y., man has been taken to the Warren County Jail after being charged with selling cocaine in the Sugar Grove area.
Tre L. Frank, 31, was charged Thursday with three counts of felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, three counts of third-degree felony criminal use of a communication facility, one count of first-degree felony dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities/intent to promote, three counts of misdemeanor intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and three counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly selling cocaine to a confidential informant in June and July.
Frank was arraigned Friday by Magisterial District Court Judge Raymond Zydonik, who set bail at $50,000 cash. Frank has yet to post bail, according to online court docket information.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a Youngsville police officer who is also affiliated with the state Attorney General's Office Bureau of Narcotics Investigations task force was informed by an individual that they knew of someone distributing cocaine in Warren County. The individual agreed to cooperate with law enforcement by taking part in controlled purchases from Frank as a confidential informant.
In June, the informant showed the officer electronic messages from a Messenger phone application with Frank that were allegedly consistent with communications about controlled substances. A controlled purchase was arraigned and surveillance set up at a predetermined location.
"The defendant was observed at this location and met with the CI, where he provided them approximately 4 grams of cocaine in a plastic bag tie off," the affidavit states.
Another controlled purchase was arranged in July 2026 for another 4 grams of cocaine in a similar plastic bag tie off. The final purchase came on the day of the arrest.
"On July 30, 2026, another controlled purchase was conducted resulting in the arrest of the defendant," the affidavit states. "The defendant did communicate with another and then arrived to a location and provided 7 grams of cocaine in a plastic bag tie off to a confidential informant. The defendant was then taken into custody and was found in possession of pre-recorded U.S. currency that law enforcement personnel provided to the confidential informant."
