Elk Township Historical Society will open their museum and restored 1800s classroom to the public on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Located in the former Scandia School, at the four corners in Scandia, PA, the building is easily located. Our historical records of early families, Elk Township schools and cemeteries can be searched for ancestors, who lived in the area.

Antiques and photos of early life are displayed to keep history alive for all who visit. Board member Michelle Nemeth will be in attendance to talk about raising monarch butterflies. She will have milkweed seeds, information on pollinators and native plants and nature-themed books for children.

All are welcome and the museum is free.

Starting at /week.
