The Warren County Historical Society will be set up in the demonstration tent at the Warren County Fair on Friday at 1 p.m. Managing director Michelle Gray will share some Warren County History with a touch of fair history.

The history of the fair begins in1850, starting in Sugar Grove and then moving to the Warren area. At one time, there was more than one fair happening in Warren County, but as time went on, it was Youngsville that saved the longtime tradition for the area.

In 1884, the Warren County Agricultural Fair Association was formed by a combination of the Warren Board of Trade and the Warren Farmers Club. The driving force was a fellow by the name of George Orr, who gathered business donations in the amount of $1,500 to get the event rolling.

Starting at /week.
