County students make return to classrooms

Students across the Warren County School District returned to the classroom Tuesday, marking the start of a new school year.
According to Superintendent Gary Weber, the first day got off to a smooth and uneventful start, with no major issues reported across the district.
"The first day of school went great," Weber said. "It was quiet across the district, with nothing out of the ordinary."
Much of the day was centered on welcoming students back and helping them settle into their classroom routines, and the school year ahead. It also gave students and teachers an opportunity to reconnect after the summer break.
While the day went well, Weber said the work wasn't done until every student had made it home.
"We are very pleased with how smoothly the day went, but our first day isn’t complete until we get every student home safely," he said.
The afternoon dismissal and transportation process also went smoothly, Weber said.
"I was able to get out to most of the schools and heard really positive feedback," he said.
With the first day successfully behind them, students and staff can now settle into the routines of another school year.
