A benefit will be held on Sunday at the Warren Eagles Club for “Super Cooper” who by the way, is quite the trooper, fighting cancer and staying positive.

Cooper Kossack is fighting leukemia like a hero and this Sunday, the community is invited to join his fight by supporting the family through the treatment journey.

The Eagles Club will host a benefit for the 5-year old beginning at noon through 5 p.m. with a day full of food, fun and hope to show Cooper he does not fight this alone. The community is welcome to enjoy a dunking tank, a huge basket raffle and entertainment.

Pulled pork dinners with sides will be available for $15 and hot dogs with mac n cheese for the kids cost $5. Tickets for a chance to win a kayak will be sold at the bar, at $5 per chance, with the winner drawn at 5 p.m. All proceeds go directly to Cooper's family.

Though just 4 years old when diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Cooper faces his 2.5-year battle with gleaming optimism of a boy who loves frogs, T-ball, and his brother Chase, confidently declaring that this will all soon be a thing of the past.

Parents Zak and Payge Kossack shared what their son Cooper, #supercooper, said, "The doctors at the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh take great care of me and in two and a half years this will all be a thing of my past. I appreciate everybody sending me love, support and mostly presents. My parents are greatly appreciative of everybody helping them out while I go through my fight with cancer!"

On a GoFund Me post in April after his diagnosis, the family noted: "Right now, Cooper is facing a long and difficult journey filled with treatments, hospital visits, and time away from the things he loves most. Even though he's shy, his strength speaks loudly. He's showing so much courage every single day, even when things are scary.

"This diagnosis has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on the family. Between medical treatments, hospital stays, and time away from work to support him, the costs are going to be adding up quickly."
