Youngsville and surrounding areas have quickly stepped in to help after a family lost two young children and left an infant in critical condition in a house fire Sunday evening in Pleasant Valley Mobile Park in Brokenstraw Township
A tragic and difficult time has the community coming together to support this family as navigating such a loss leaves many lost in what can be said for comfort.
According to an obituary notice from Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, the children were Cohen D. Johnson, 3, and Hadley J. Johnson, 1.
Loved ones are asking for help after everything was lost, including a vehicle. The following items scratch the surface needs: Women's XL clothes, women's size 9 shoes, men's L clothes, newborn and size 1 diapers, wipes, 0-3 months and 3-6 months girls clothes, bottles, and blankets. Items may be dropped off at 124 Beaty St., Warren.
Members of the Youngsville community churches have stepped in to provide support.
Anyone who is willing to help can contact the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, which is coordinating efforts with other organizations at 814-563-9009.
In addition, a Go Fund Me account was set up by a family member and has already reached 65% of the $24,000 goal to assist the family.
"We don't like asking for help but this is necessary," the post says. "If you are able to, we would really appreciate it. If you aren't able please just share this on your social media. And prayers are always welcome. The leftover money will be used to purchase the items they need which is absolutely everything. They lost 100% of everything including two vehicles. Their newborn is in Pittsburgh hospital. If you are able to help we would greatly appreciate any and all help including prayers.
