JAMESTOWN -- Lucille Ball was born in Jamestown and lived in various places returning to Jamestown in her teen years. Learn about her downtown Jamestown stories on the tour that begins at the Fenton History Center at 10 a.m. Saturday. The tour guide is Joni Blackman, executive director of the Fenton History Center.
The other tour on Saturday is of three churches in Jamestown. Beginning at the Jamestown Free Methodist church on 515 E. Seventh St. and traveling to the First Congregational and First Presbyterian churches. The tour begins at 10 a.m. and the tour guide is Cindy Dustin, a volunteer with the Fenton History Center.
The Fenton History Center conducts historic walking tours from June to August. The cost is $8 for members and $12 for non-members. Participants can pre-register online, at the Fenton, or by phone at 716-664-6256. There is a limit of 20 people for each tour.
