Sugar Grove Sales brings activities, performances

SUGAR GROVE – Every last Saturday in July, Sugar Grove Sales take place – this year, there are a few other events that will bring family and friends together this summer.
In addition to neighborhood yard and garage sales, family friendly vendors and activities will be going on around Sugar Grove starting Friday and continuing Saturday.
The Sweet Town Square, located in the former Sugar Grove Elementary School, is partnering with the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department to rent vendor space at $15 for Friday and $25 for Saturday. Proceeds will be donated to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Sales inside the former school building will be taking place with the primary businesses established so far with 25 Supply, Primerica and Podunk Mercantile. On Saturday, the Lily Pad food truck will begin their set up at 7 a.m. to serve breakfast and will stay throughout the evening. The Bucket Brigade Pizza truck will be there from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Main Street parking lot.
Music in the Park will be from 4 to 8 p.m. and feature The Misfits from 4 to 6 p.m. and the Charity Nuse Duo from 6 to 8 p.m. Concerts are sponsored by the Sugar Grove Community Development Association and Warren Worx. While seating is available, it is encouraged to bring a own lawn chair.
In addition, the Sugar Grove Development Association has refinished the ball fields and dugouts including playground upkeep, and is putting in three pickle ball courts which will be available in the upcoming weeks.
The Sugar Grove Library will have a book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with all proceeds benefitting the library. Books are no more than $1 each, and fill a tote for $5. For more information contact 814-489-7872 or visit www.sgfreelibrary.org
The CrossWalk Community Center will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the heart of downtown Sugar Grove in between the Bucket Cafe Restaurant and the Outpost Care and Share Store.
