The United Fund of Warren County recently recognized Denise Whipp for her 18 years of outstanding service and leadership to the organization from 2008 through 2026.

Whipp completed her final term on the Board of Directors in March, concluding her time as a dedicated volunteer in service to the United Fund and the residents of Warren County. During her tenure, she served in several leadership capacities, including Treasurer and President of the Board.

As treasurer, Whipp provided financial oversight and stewardship of the organization. Later, as Board President, she guided the United Fund through one of the most challenging periods in its history during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership helped ensure the organization continued its mission of supporting local human service agencies while adapting to unprecedented challenges facing the community.

“Denise’s commitment to the United Fund is inspiring,” said Lacey Hanson, Executive Director of the United Fund of Warren County. “Her leadership, thoughtful guidance, and dedication to our mission have had a lasting impact on our organization and the agencies and individuals we serve. We are incredibly grateful for the time and talent she has shared with the United Fund over the past 18 years.”

To commemorate her service, Hanson recently presented Whipp with a plaque recognizing her contributions and leadership.

Although her board service has concluded, Whipp will remain actively involved with the United Fund as a member of its Strategic Planning Committee. In this role, she will continue helping to guide the organization’s long-term vision and strengthen its ability to serve Warren County for years to come.
