County Democrats to host candidate forum, picnic Saturday
Warren County Democratic Committee to host midterm candidate forum and summer picnic
Residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking office in the upcoming midterm elections during a community event hosted by the Warren County Democratic Committee on Saturday, July 25.
The event, themed “Speak Up for Democracy,” will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pellegrono’s Creekside Pavilion as part of the committee’s annual summer picnic.
Scheduled speakers include Ray Bilger, Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania’s 15 Congressional District, and Destiny Howard, Democratic candidate for the 65 District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Candidates are expected to discuss issues related to the offices they are seeking, outline their qualifications and answer questions from attendees.
In addition to the candidate presentations, attendees will be served a picnic dinner with desserts and soft drinks. A cash bar will also be available. Organizers say the event will provide an opportunity for community members to meet Democratic Committee members, volunteers and local residents.
Reservations are required and the cost is $25 per person for adults age 18 and older.
Reservations may be made online at www.warrendems.org or through the committee’s event registration page. The public is welcome to attend.
