Photo by Terry Trisket In addition to motorcycle runs year long, A.B.A.T.E. has been gathering motorcyclists for their annual scavenger hunt.

CORRY – A scavenger hunt open to motorcycles, cars and trucks will be held on Saturday, July 25, beginning at Mead Park on Mead Avenue in Corry.

Registration is at 10 a.m. and the ride starts at noon. This is a family friendly event costing $10 per person with a family picnic at the end of the ride. An 80 mile scenic ride will take those participating off the beaten path in search of headstones from six cemeteries to collect information from the clues given about specific headstones. Sponsored by the Warren County A.B.A.T.E.group, the event benefits local non-profits such as Toys for Tots, local pet shelters and other pet-related organizations, fallen riders organizations, and more.

Road Captain Terry Trisket said riders will have plenty of time to appreciate the sights during Saturday’s poker run. The group is open to receiving requests for non-profit organizations searching for donation events.

A.B.A.T.E. members meet the first Sunday of the month at 11 a.m. at Gi Gi’s restaurant on Route 6 in Corry.

The Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (A.B.A.T.E.) has been educating and protecting motorcycle riders since 1983. There are nine districts comprising 43 chapters across the state, most of them by county.
