Young Mother’s Club to host 61st Charity Auction

The Young Mothers’ Study Club is a community-focused organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering women through fellowship and service.

One of the club’s signature community events is the annual Charity Auction. This year the 61st auction will be held on June 10 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Bent Run Brewing Co., 20 Clark St., Warren. The event brings community members together for a day of fellowship, fundraising and support for important local organizations. Each year, three organizations are selected as recipients of the proceeds from the auction benefit. This year those include CASA of Warren and Forest Counties, the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center and The Women’s Care Center.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, and include a Hawaiian barbecue pulled pork meal, one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a dessert, live music, and entry in the door prize drawing. There will be more than 20 baskets being given away with themes ranging from golf packages, luxury spa services, and family admission packs to multiple regional museums. Past auctions have raised nearly $7,000 for beneficiaries with more than 200 attending in 2025.

Founded in 1931, the Young Women’s Study Club has served the community for more than 90 years. The club meets monthly with guest speakers, community service planning, and social fellowship among its members. The primary goal of the organization is to foster a supportive environment where women can connect, learn, and make a positive impact within the community. The club strives to encourage leadership, strengthen families, and promote community involvement.

The organization welcomes women who are interested in building friendships, supporting community initiatives, and participating in educational and social activities. Membership is open to mothers of school aged children. Individuals interested in joining can contact a club member or follow the YMSC on social media for more information about membership opportunities, and an upcoming open house in the late summer.
