Kelly Vantassel began the Youngsville Leek Festival 12 years ago in memory of her husband, Leroy Vantassel. The festival has grown each year. This year the family and festival committee decided to donate half of the proceeds to Hospice Of Warren County in recognition of their commitment to supporting Warren County residents in need of end-of-life care. Darlene Schultz-John, Hospice of Warren County executive director, said “We were honored to receive the gift.”
