Golf scramble to benefit Veterans Council
The 4th Annual Veterans Golf Tournament at the Jackson Valley Golf Course will take place on June 14.
Since 2023, the Veterans Council has held golf tournaments to raise money for the Emergency Relief Fund for the Veterans Council.
The fourth annual golf tournament will be held at Jackson Valley Golf course located at 6927 Jackson Run Rd., Warren, on June 14 at 9 a.m. with dinner to follow. In honor of Flag Day, flags will be given to the oldest and the youngest veterans that golf in the tournament, donated by state Rep. Kathy Rapp, R-Warren.
“The generosity of the community has been tremendous. So many people over the years have donated money, raffle items, and their time to the tournament. Because of them, this year’s tournament is looking to be one of our best years yet,” shared chairperson Deborah Brown.
There will be 2 hole-in-one prizes to give away; a golf cart and $10,000 cash, along with raffle prizes, a 50/50, a chipping contest, and more. All proceeds go directly to the Warren County Veterans Emergency Fund.
Registration is at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.; cost is $85 per golfer or $340 per team. The tournament is a four-person, best-ball scramble format where veterans will get additional free mulligans.
