One of the organization’s biggest fundraisers of the year, Caring for Life’s annual Mom Prom is set for its “Denim and Diamonds” themed event which will be held on Friday at the Conewango Club from 7 to 11 p.m.
DJ Josh Bigelow will be returning once again this year with all of the classic dance floor favorites. This girls’ night out benefits families of children with serious illnesses in Warren County.
In 2025, 19 families were helped from the Caring for Life organization, a non-profit volunteer organization since 1995. Offering financial assistance to families who have a child diagnosed with a serious medical condition, the organization’s board consists of just 8 women; they were able to raise over $25,000 in expenses last year.
Founded in 1991, Caring For Life is a United Fund nonprofit that provides emotional, financial, and practical assistance to Warren County families. Monthly support group meetings are held for parents and the CFL board meets every two months.

For anyone who would like to support CFL, but cannot attend Mom Prom, Warren Gives and the upcoming Freedom 5K on July 3rd are excellent opportunities.
“As a community, we can make a difference” is the motto for the organization. Passionate in their endeavors for making a difference in the lives of children, board members have shared a personal connection in some way to the children that have had to endure the trials of serious illness.
Funds raised get directed toward care packages, travel expenses and medical equipment.
Care package items are requested and will be collected at the door. Suggestions include travel size essentials, gas cards and children’s books (Especially about hospitalization) to name a few.
Mom Prom got its start in 2012 and attracts women of all ages, 21 and older. Attendees do not have to be a mom to enjoy a ladies night out just prior to Mother’s Day. Dressing for the theme is encouraged but not required for this community benefit for families in need.
This year attendees can submit theme ideas via Facebook for next year. Voting will take place at Mom Prom and the theme will be announced that night.
Tickets can be purchased for $40 each online at www.caring4life.net This includes the door fee and appetizers; a cash bar with specialty drinks will be available.
Attendees must be 21 or older. All ticket sales are non-refundable.
