New rape charges filed against Clarendon man

A Clarendon resident who is facing 11 previous felony charges for rape allegedly involving a person less than 16 years of age, is now also facing a felony charge for alleged corruption of minors.

The state police at Warren filed a criminal complaint Tuesday charging William H. Wilcox III, 34, with a felony charge, two first-degree misdemeanors and two second-degree misdemeanors related to incidents that allegedly took place Oct. 31, 2025, in Pleasant Township, according to online court docket information.

The most recent charges against Wilcox include third-degree felony corruption of minors, first-degree misdemeanor corruption of minors, first-degree misdemeanor indecent assault forcible compulsion, second-degree misdemeanor indecent assault without consent of other and second-degree misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age.

Wilcox is awaiting a preliminary hearing and bail has been set at $50,000.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, State Police at Warren received a report in January indicating Wilcox has indecent sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

A forensic interview was allegedly conducted in March at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, where the victim allegedly stated that she stayed the night with friends at the defendant’s house on Halloween. The defendant allegedly returned home from the bar and provided the victim with marijuana.

According to the Affidavit, the victim described Wilcox’s residence and it was able to be identified as a Pleasant Township residence.

The victim allegedly stated that she fell asleep on a bed in the basement and was woken early the next morning to the defendant pulling her closer to him. The defendant then allegedly engaged in unwanted, indecent contact with the victim.

“Based on the facts and circumstances stated above, I respectfully request a warrant be issued for the defendant’s arrest,” the affidavit states.

Wilcox was also charged with 11 felony rape charges back in March. The charges include first-degree felony rape/forcible compulsion, first-degree felony statutory sexual assailt – 11 years older, second-degree felony sexual assault, two counts of second-degree felony aggravated indecent assault – forcible compulsion, two counts of second-degree felony aggravated assault – complainant less than 16 and three counts of third-degree corruption of minors – defendant age 16 or above. Wilcox was also charged with misdemeanor charges of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault forcible compulsion, two counts of indecent assault without consent of other and three counts of indecent assault – person less than 16 years of age.

According to the Affidavit, the girl was allegedly raped in August, on Halloween night and the night of the Warren Christmas parade on Dec. 5, all in 2025.

Wilcox was taken to the Warren County Jail following the March charges.
