Snow, winds in forecast as power restoration continues
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5 pm Monday until 2 am Tuesday for Warren County.
Forecasters say between one and four inches of snow are possible, along with wind gusts reaching up to 40 miles per hour, which could create reduced visibility and slick travel conditions.
The advisory comes after a weekend of strong winds and light snowfall that caused scattered power outages across parts of the county. Utility crews will continue working to restore power to several affected areas.
According to Ken McCorrison, Director of Emergency Management and Public Safety, repair efforts are continuing across the county as power companies work to address remaining outages.
McCorrison said crews are making progress and power companies are catching up with repairs in impacted areas. As of Monday, no road closures related to the recent weather were reported.
Outage data from Penelec shows the largest concentration of outages currently in the North Warren area.
Current reported outages include:
North Warren: 148 customers
Starbrick: 68 customers
Tidioute: fewer than 48 customers
Sugar Grove: fewer than 20 customers
Chandlers Valley: fewer than 20 customers
