Alisa Clever, 37-year-old wife and mom of two is fighting for her life and needs support.
A Bingo and Basket Raffle Fundraiser will be Sunday at the Warren Moose Lodge at 422 Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren PA with doors t at 1 p.m.
After already caring for her husband after his stroke and going back to school for a health care management degree, Clever found herself in the ER where doctors discovered pancreatitis, a growing mass on her pancreas and a suspicious lesion on her, diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer.
Vanessa Vansile is heading up the fundraiser along with Angie Clever and Gina O’Neil. Vansile shared that after moving to Warren, she and Alisa became close friends. Their friendship has stood the test of time and distance; they are sisters.
“Alisa is one of my very best friends and the first person I connected to during my freshman year of high school,” she said. “When you go from a town like Jamestown to Warren during high school, it’s very different when you’re in high school.”
Since the March 2025 diagnosis, she has endured multiple chemotherapy treatments, with many more ahead. Organizers of the benefit say exhausting trips to the Erie Cancer Institute have cost her and her family in many ways; fighting for not only her life, but to also keep the family afloat. Holding onto hope, the goal of chemotherapy is to shrink the tumor, calm the pancreatitis, and make Clever eligible for a Whipple procedure, which could save her life.
