New hematologist, oncologist, joins Warren General

Dr Chen Huang is a hematologist and oncologist who has joined the WGH Cancer Care Center.

According to a press release from Warren General Hospital, the hospital has welcomed Dr. Chen Huang, a hematologist and oncologist, to its Cancer Care Center.

“Dr. Huang is a multilingual oncologist and internist committed to providing cutting-edge, personalized care while ensuring that patients in the Warren, PA area receive world-class treatment close to home,” the press release stated.

Dr. Huang completed her residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, and her fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She joins WGH after relocating from Northern Arkansas Medical Center where she served as Lead Oncologist.

Dr. Huang began transitioning into her role in December and is now actively seeing patients, with her schedule open for new patients and referrals.

“She is extremely skilled in hematology and oncology, and her arrival has been a very positive addition to the cancer center,” Hospital Marketing and Communications Director Kerstin Wyman said. “Her transition here and her ability to support our patients has been huge.”

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Huang has a strong interest in community involvement. Wyman noted that Dr. Huang’s passion for serving rural communities and her engagement outside the Cancer Care Center help strengthen relationships with patients.

Dr. Huang specializes in a wide range of cancer treatments and has worked both internationally and in the US, allowing her to care for patients from diverse backgrounds.

“Dr. Haung’s multilingual abilities enhance patient communication, ensuring that every patient and their family feel heard, understood and supported throughout their care journey,” said the press release.

Her arrival brings the total number of cancer specialists at the Cancer Care Center to four. The center currently offers a full spectrum of cancer care services to meet patient needs.

“Her dedication to rural healthcare aligns with WGH’s mission of high-quality, accessible cancer care,” the press release states. “This ensures that every patient of Warren County receives a full spectrum of world-class treatment close to home.”
