Warren Public Library to host annual “Books, Blues & Brews”

The Warren Public Library will host its annual fundraiser, “Books, Blues & Brews” on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Community members are invited to participate in an evening of music, games, and local beer while supporting library programs.

The event will feature live entertainment, social games, and opportunities to win prizes such as gift cards, lottery tickets, and entries into a grand prize drawing. Most games will cost $5 to play, while a scavenger hunt will be free for all attendees.

New additions to this year’s fundraiser include a brand-new game and an exclusive beer brewed by Wicked Warren specifically for the event.

Guests are also encouraged to visit the Wetmore Gallery during the event, where highlights from the library’s programs over the past year will be on display.

Attendees can enjoy a “chocuterie” table featuring chocolate treats, along with a selection of homemade cookies.

All proceeds from the event directly support the Warren Public Library’s programs and services, including educational opportunities, community events and lifelong learning initiatives.

“Because this is our only annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting library programs, every ticket purchased directly fuels storytimes, workshops, author visits and the many other opportunities we offer for learners of all ages,”said Executive Director Sara Edmiston in a press release.

Tickets cost $40 in advance when reserved by Friday, Jan. 23, and $50 at the door. Reservations can be made through the library’s website and include light hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. Music throughout the evening will be provided by Day Striker, Aaron Reinard and the Sweet Jane Band Duo. Games will be available for an additional fee.

Starting at $3.50/week.
