In Pennsylvania, corruption of minors makes it illegal for adults over the age of 18 to corrupt a minor’s morals or encourage them to commit crimes, involving various acts like facilitating substance use, involving them in crimes that include sex crimes or excessive truancy. A third-degree felony corruption of minors charge (often involving sexual conduct) carries penalties of up to seven years in prison, a maximum fine of $15,000 and potentially mandatory sex offender registration.
