Pine Grove PPT & 2-Gun donates to Second Harvest Food Bank

Pine Grove PPT & 2-Gun group gives its $3,600 donation to Tony Fulgenzio, Director of Development at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania.

RUSSELL – Pine Grove PPT & 2-Gun donated $3,600 to Second Harvest Food of Northwest Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, helping support local families facing food insecurity.

The money was raised during the organization’s holiday charity raffle and pistol shoot event, which took place on Dec. 20.

The event featured a variety of fundraising activities, including gun raffles, basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing, all supporting a meaningful local cause.

Attendees were asked to make a $25 donation, which included food, drinks and deserts. More than 100 people attended the event, contributing to its overall success.

As a result of the donation, Second Harvest Food Bank will be able to provide more than 9,000 meals to families in need throughout Northwest Pennsylvania.

Kyle Whitten, an instructor with Pine Grove PPT & 2-Gun, said the organization selected Second Harvest because of its extensive impact on the local community.

“They cover Warren County and other local areas, all the places we are trying to serve,” said Whitten. “Helping people has really been our focus, and we saw an avenue to do that.”

Whitten added that the group was thrilled with the turnout and the support shown by the community.

Although this was the first year the group held their event, organizers plan to make it a tradition, with their second charity event already scheduled for October.

Starting at $3.50/week.
