Last Monday, the Comprehensive Task Force met to finalize the design of wayfinding signs and kiosks that will be installed throughout the city.
Each sign will feature a colored tip that corresponds with matching colors on the kiosk maps, making navigation easier for residents and visitors.
Codes and Planning Director Randall Rossey presented a sample of the proposed signage at the December Planning Commission meeting, showcasing the size materials and overall design.

Both the signs and kiosks will be coated to protect them from weather conditions such as sun, snow and rain.
The task force plans to finalize all designs by the beginning of the new year, with installation scheduled for next spring.
“Everything should be in place prior to the tourist season for 2026,” Rossey said.
Kiosks will stand 8 feet tall and feature a city map, while wayfinding signs will measure 11 feet in height.
Wayfinding signs direct visitors to areas including:
— Crary Art Gallery.
— Historical Society Museum.
— Parks.
— City buildings.
— Shopping.
— Dining.
— Public Restrooms.
— Parking.
