Silver Bells Flute Choir to perform Sunday

The Silver Winds Flute Choir will present a free concert, titled Silver Bells, on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave.

This concert offers Celtic, seasonal, classical and contemporary selections Celtic tunes include Morning has Broken and Jesus Lover of My Soul (Abysterwyth) Autumnal themes are highlighted by John Williams Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter and Gounod’s Funeral March of the Marionettes.

Popular dances from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet are followed by contemporary pieces that will appeal to all ages in the audience. Frosty the Snowman, You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch, Silver Bells and other pieces will round out the program.

The Silver Winds Flute Choir is an ensemble of seven flutists from the Warren County area. The group began in 2007 with five members and has grown to include up to 10 musicians.
