Salvation army hosting free concert by Kinzua Community Concert Band
The Kinzua Community Concert Band rehearsing for their upcoming community concert.
The Kinzua Community Concert Band will be playing its first official Christmas concert on Monday, Dec. 15, at the Warren Salvation Army on Beech Street.
This is the very first year of the community band, which began rehearsing in October at the Warren Salvation Army. Angelica Spence of the Salvation Army, is happy to be opening the doors for the band to come and play.
“It’s a community, and we have been very transparent that we are here for the community, this is just one way we can help support,” Spence said.
After a former student reached out to area retired teachers, Marcia White and Cindy Scheid, the two of them decided to form the band that now consists of more than 25 members. New members are welcome to join.
Admission is free but donations are welcomed for the Red Kettle Program.
