Two jailed after Youngsville traffic stop
Two people have been charged after a traffic stop Saturday in Youngsville.
Zachariah L. Witt, 41, of Seneca, Pa., was charged with two counts of felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, misdemeanor firearm not to be carried without license, misdemeanor manufacture etc. controlled substance, misdemeanor intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Witt was arraigned Saturday by Magisterial District Judge Todd Woodin, who set bail at $100,000. Witt was taken to the Warren County Jail until he can post bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause in the criminal complaint filed by Youngsville police officers, Witt was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for having an expired inspection while traveling on Route 6 in Youngsville.
Witt allegedly told the officer he had a concealed weapon and a jar of marijuana in a backpack seen below his seat. The affidavit states Witt allegedly has no concealed firearm permit, nor was the firearm registered to Witt. The officer allegedly recovered the firearm and 32 grams of marijuana, small plastic baggies, a digital scale and 101 Gabapentin pills that were prescribed to someone else.
“The defendant did admit after Miranda to have been selling the marijuana,” the affidavit states. “The items located and combination of drugs are consistent with the possession with intent to distribute.”
Also charged was Cinnamon A.M. Wheeler, 33, of Oil City, Pa.. Wheeler, according to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, was driving the vehicle. She was charged with eight misdemeanor charges: two counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, adulteration or misbranding of any controlled substance, four counts of use or possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana – small amount, personal use. She was also arraigned by Judge Woodin and taken to the Warren County Prison on $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. Wheeler, according to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, allegedly had several active arrest warrants in Venango County, Pa., and the Northwest Regional Police Department in Elizabethtown, Pa., in Lancaster County. Officers reportedly found a plastic container with rolled marijuana blunts, a pill crusher device with crushed white powder in it, rolled U.S. currency with a white powder in it and a THC vape pen with cartridges in Wheeler’s purse. She allegedly told police the pill container had Xanax, reglan, suboxone and a type of over the counter pain reliever, with the pill crusher allegedly used to “adulterate” the drugs.
