I would like to share some photos and information about my Godfather and a decades-long veteran community leader, Rick Moore.

Rick served honorably from 1962-1965 as a medical corpsman/technician in the Army. And, he continued to serve the Veteran community in Warren County for decades after his discharge. From formal leadership positions to boots on the ground volunteering, he supported the American Legion Post 135 and Sheffield VFW faithfully and fully. He was even recognized as the Veteran of the Year in 2013 by the Warren County United Veterans Council.

Over the years, Rick contributed his time, treasure, and talent to performing hundreds of color guard, honor guard, and funeral details. He was a Veteran mental health advocate and promoted wellness and awareness for our military community. Rick championed food drives, fundraisers, and any campaign that benefited our Troops and Vets.

Rick passed away in 2024, but up until then he lived his life serving others and that is his lasting legacy.

Starting at $3.50/week.
