Wilder Museum to host antique gun display

IRVINE – The Wilder Museum of Warren County History, 51 Erie Ave., Irvine, will mark the end of its 2025 season by welcoming weapons collector and historian Brad Bogart to host a special antique gun display on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Bogart has amassed an extensive collection of 18th century guns handcrafted in Pennsylvania. The historic assortment also includes powder horns, knives and tomahawks. He has been a member of the Kentucky Rifle Association since 1984 and frequently attends their annual show and other events.
The gun display will take place in the Era-Gone-By Room which houses the Joseph DeFrees Antique Gun Collection. DeFrees, a Warren County native, was a mid-twentieth century inventor and philanthropist.
