The Warren Public Library has announced the winner of its inaugural Ornament Design Contest.

Emily Dysinger, a 10-year-old student at Beaty-Warren Middle School with her design of a winter bird on a ceramic ornament has won the contest. Emily’s winning design was selected by the Library’s Board of Directors from among 15 entries submitted in the “Design an Ornament” contest for children ages 8-12. Her winning artwork has been transformed into this year’s official Warren Public Library ornament.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 3, the ornaments will be available for purchase at the library’s circulation desk. Each ornament is priced at $10, with all proceeds directly supporting the programs, services, and resources of the Warren Public Library.

“We were delighted by the creativity of all the submissions,” said Sara Edmiston, library director. “Emily’s design truly stood out, and we’re thrilled to feature her work in this special project that also supports the library.”

The ornaments make wonderful gifts or keepsakes for the holiday season. Quantities are limited.
