Route 59 bridge work completed

All lanes of the bridge that carries Route 59 over the Kinzua Creek (Allegheny Reservoir) in Mead Township, Warren County are open.

The temporary signal that had been controlling traffic on each side of the bridge has been removed.

Work on the bridge started in May 2024 and lane restrictions were put into place. The project included structural steel repairs to the truss members, concrete repairs to the bridge piers and abutments, bearing replacements, and installation of a navigational lighting system.

Information on the Route 59 Bridge Project is available online at www.penndot.pa.gov/District1 under the Projects Near You and the District 1 link.
