In an effort to enhance arts education, the Warren County Summer Music School sponsored a concert for sixth, seventh and eighth-graders at the Struthers Library Theatre by the Beo String Quartet.
The day included interactive music lessons, storytelling, original compositions and therapy dogs, according to the Struthers Library Theatre Facebook page. The performance was sponsored by the Logan Foundation, an organization founded by Kay Logan, a musician, educator and arts advocate. Logan, who was the principal flutist with the Columbus Symphony for twenty years, died in 2016. The local concert is part of the Penn State University Logan Series, a concert series presenting world-class chamber music in the informal setting.
Students were bussed in from all over the county to experience the concert, some in which many students may not have otherwise had the opportunity to attend a concert at the local performing arts theater.

The Beo String Quartet has had more than 50 world premieres and 150 concert works that have played both nationally and internationally. Music styles include classical repertoire, contemporary, rock, and experimental music. Formed in 2015, the Beo String Quartet has been touring the world, composing, performing, recording, teaching, and having fun. The group is Pittsburgh-based but from all over. It combines music, storytelling and interactive shows.
